State representative for the 95th Assembly District, representing most of the city of La Crosse, since 2000.
Congressional aide for Rep. Ron Kind, 1997-2000.
Chief-of-staff and research assistant for State Rep. Mark Meyer, 1992-97.
Served on the La Crosse County Board of Supervisors during junior and senior years of college, 1990-92.
Active member of the UW-L Alumni Association Board of Directors, served as president 2007-08.
Recipient of numerous state awards, including 2007 Independent Living Legislative Advocacy Award, 2006 Scales of Justice Award, 2006 Gaylord Nelson Human Services Award, Friend of Agriculture and Outstanding Leadership in Conservation of the Mississippi River Award, among others.
Holds a bachelor of arts in political science and public administration from UW-L in 1992.
